On this page I will list some of the truly evil Bots. Please let me know if there are other Bots I am forgetting here.

SpyWare (?)
SpyWare is used to track variety of activities user performs in the browser. So what are they tracking? Lots of thing including:
  • Exit and Entry Pages
  • Page Impressions
  • Path Analysis
  • Unique Visitors
  • Host Summary
  • Unique User Sessions
  • Browser and Operating System
  • Page Durations
  • Java/CGI Breakdown
  • Session Durations
  • Referring URL
  • Country of Access
  • Referring Domain
  • Reach
  • Period Page Impressions
  • Visitor Frequency
  • Internal and External Referring URL
  • Loyalty
There is also SpyWare that claims to remove other SpyWare. So it does, excepts it installs itself afterwards.

Malware
Malware is software designed to infiltrate or damage a computer system, without the owner's consent.

Computer Worm
A computer worm is a self-replicating computer program, similar to a computer virus. A virus attaches itself to, and becomes part of, another executable program; however, a worm is self-contained and does not need to be part of another program to propagate itself.

Computer Virus
In computer security, a computer virus is a self-replicating computer program that spreads by inserting copies of itself into other executable code or documents. A computer virus behaves in a way similar to a biological virus, which spreads by inserting itself into living cells. Extending the analogy, the insertion of a virus into the program is termed as an "infection", and the infected file, or executable code that is not part of a file, is called a "host".

AdWare
Adware or advertising-supported software is any software package which automatically plays, displays, or downloads advertising material to a computer after the software is installed on it or while the application is being used.

Yes I know what all these things are and of course I try not to get them.
Not opening emails from people you do not know or not clicking on any advertisements, downloading anything that you do not need or is known to you. Even “Googling” the name of the file you are about to download can help you identify unwanted virus material.
The new Firefox ad Blocker can help with unwanted ads.

Be careful on the internet, nasty files danger your information.
