Several other projects out there are similar to Linguine Maps. In every case a tool will draw a diagram of sorts. But Linguine Maps has a key advantage. Many other tools are focused on visualization of one kind of schema. Linguine Maps was designed to be reusable for visualization of graphs in general – any graphs that come to mind.
Linguine Maps allows any developer to visualize his own metadata. Many development teams have variety of in-house metadata files or many instances of custom XML documents that might need visualization. These teams can use Linguine Maps to visualize these documents. Linguine Maps fully hides complexity of Graphviz. It is so simple to create a diagram – anyone can do it!
